Harnesses

The glass fibres consist of a core fibre and a cladding of a low refractive index. Due to the differences in the refractive indices the light will travel along considerable lengths with minimal energy loss – although at DesignLight we recommend the fibre lengths are kept below 10 metres to assure optimum light output.

Each tail terminates in a M10 threaded ferrule to which the lens fitting is added. However for starpoints we do crimp the ends as no fittings are required.
